Summary
Responsibilities include managing the Programming Department and Biostatistics staff and ensuring the validity and timeliness of programming and biostatistics and deliverables. Also responsible for promoting continuous process improvement and for developing products and services that meet the evolving needs of Sponsors with late-phase needs.
Requirements
Candidate must have a Master's degree plus 4 years of progressively responsible experience in Biostatistics and Programming, plus 4 years of management experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for operations and administration for the Programming and Biostatistics Departments, including department and project resourcing
- Assumes a senior role to assist management in achieving company milestones and objectives
- Directs company initiatives and provides creative input on company direction and focus
- Promotes the development of processes, technologies, and work practices that deliver accurate and valuable analyses of clinical data
- Fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and an environment in which continuous improvement is the norm
- Responsible for assessing training-related needs within the department and provides or obtains appropriate training
- Responsible for hiring, coaching and conducting performance evaluations
- Assures that project milestones are met and that the delivery of accurate and high quality analyses, datasets, and statistical output is paramount
- Responsible for providing accurate and timely status updates to other team members and supervisor
- Collaborates with senior management to develop and provide critical review of metrics, proposals, budgets and contracts
