Summary:

The Statistician will provide sound statistical oversight of clinical research studies, mentor other statisticians, and provide strong client interactions.  The individual in this position is expected to provide or oversee statistical input into design and development of study protocols, CRF's, statistical analysis plans and study reports.  They will assist company management in development of REGISTRAT-MAPI’s strategic direction with respect to industry trends and innovation in statistics, epidemiology and outcomes research.


Requirements:

Masters Degree in Biostatistics or Statistics with at least 3 years experience in clinical research in a biopharmaceutical or academic setting is required.  Candidate must have sound knowledge of the application of advanced statistical methods in clinical research gained through experience and education.


Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic and advanced research designs and statistical and epidemiological methodologies in clinical research.
  • Familiarity with FDA and international guidelines for statistical analysis and data presentation.
  • Expertise in the design and development of sound statistical analysis plans.
  • Ability to teach and clearly communicate statistical techniques to less experienced statistical and non-statistical staff.
  • Ability to utilize/understand electronic data processing systems in gathering, storing, retrieving and analyzing data.
  • Experience with statistical and data manipulation procedures in SAS.
  • Ability to present information clearly in English, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan and resource long-range projects while assuming responsibility for daily details with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Is conversant in evolving statistical methods and procedures.
  • Participates in statistical conferences, and promotes REGISTRAT-MAPI reputation as the leader in late phase development.
